IMAGE SENSOR & IP-CORE EVALUATION

With a form factor designed to fit into commercially available camera housings and capable of supporting two sensors simultaneously, the Kit enables rapid evaluation and prototyping of high-definition HDR video cameras for security and surveillance, traffic control, video conferencing and automotive applications. Schematics and layout files are available free to all purchasers, further accelerating time to market.

The hardware is designed to support full 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second in streaming mode through the FPGA, without the need for any external frame buffer.

POWERED BY IONOS IP CORES

The integrated 'IONOS' Image Signal Processing (ISP) IP pipeline from Helion, provides end-to-end ISP support from sensor to displayable image, and incorporates sensor interfacing, defective pixel correction & 2D noise reduction, high quality 5 x 5 DeBayer, Color Correction Matrix, Fast Auto Exposure, Auto White Balance, HDR, Gamma Correction and Overlay (both character and graphics).

LATTICE HDR - 60 CDK IN DETAIL

The Kit consists of two boards, the HDR-60 Base Board and the Nano Vesta Sensor Board mounted on top of the Base Board. The base board is populated with a Lattice ECP3-70, while the sensor board can be equipped with several image Sensors from Aptina, Sony, onSemi, Panasonic or other vendors. Please find below the Image Sensor Headboards, which are currently available for the Lattice HDR-60 CDK.

The Kit incorporates a plug-n-play demo that runs right out of the box at 60fps when connected to a HDMI or DVI monitor. The Helion IP cores can be used for free on a trial basis, but those free versions of the Helion IP cores are time limited and will fail to operate after an internal shut down is issued within the core. The cost version of the Helion IP cores are fully functional with no time limit. They have a licensing fee per LatticeECP3 device they are used in.

Please note: You have to order the Image Sensor Headboard separately. See below.

IMAGE SENSOR HEADBOARDS FOR
HDR-60 CAMERA DEVELOPMENT KIT

The HDR-60 Camera Development Kit becomes more and more an eco-System that grows continuously. A lot of Image Sensor vendors also find the advantage of this system, to deliver fast and efficient first results to their products. We demonstrate on this site all available image sensor Headboards for the HDR-60 CDK.

Please note: You have to order the Image Sensor Headboard separately. See below.

Aptina MT9M024  - 720p60

Aptina's MT9M024 is a 1/3-inch CMOS digital image sensor with an active-pixel array of 1280H x 960V. It captures images in either linear or high dynamic range modes, with a rolling-shutter readout. It includes sophisticated camera functions such as auto exposure control, windowing, and both video and single frame modes

ON semiconductor Vita1300 - 720p60

The VITA 1300 is a 1/2 inch Super-eXtended Graphics Array (SXGA) CMOS image sensor with a pixel array of 1280 by 1024.The high sensitivity 4.8 m x 4.8 m pixels support pipelined and triggered global shutter readout modes and can also be operated in a low noise rolling shutter mode. In rolling shutter mode, the sensor supports correlated double sampling readout, reducing noise and increasing the dynamic range.

Panasonic MN34041 - 1080p60

This is a MOS-type sensor of 1/3 type offering 2.1 mega pixels. This product consists of embedded photodiode, pixel block by MOS transistor, column AD converter, built-in timing generator (TG), high speed serial output I/F and functional circuits of various kinds. High definition 12-bit digital image signals offering 2.1 mega pixels are obtained with high speed of 60 fps and with low power consumption.

Sony IMX104 - 720p60

Sony has now developed the IMX104LQJ CMOS image sensor for industrial applications that far surpasses existing products in terms of high picture quality in low light achieving high sensitivity and high signal-to-noise ratio. Newly developed processing and pixel technologies have quadrupled the signal-to-noise ratio under low-light conditions when compared to the IMX035LQR , the Sony existing Type 1/3 1.3M-pixel CMOS image sensor. A versatile interface enables the image sensor to be tailored to different applications. This new product is pin compatible with the full HD capable IMX136LQJ, which simplifies making additions to the lineup.

Sony IMX136 - 1080p60

The release of the IMX136LQJ (color) and the IMX136LLJ (black and white) CMOS image sensors brings a high framerate, high signal-to-noise ratio and full HD to Sony's CMOS image sensor lineup for industrial applications. With the same diagonal 2.8 μm square pixels as the IMX122LQJ, it maintains the same high signal-to-noise ratio while capturing HD 1080p video at 120 frame/s.

A versatile interface means that the sensor can be tailored to different applications.

These new ICs are pin compatible with the HD capable IMX104LQJ , which simplifies making additions to the lineup.

Sony IMX236 - 1080p60

To improve sensitivity in the near infrared light region for industrial applications, Sony developed CMOS image sensors "IMX222LQJ", "IMX236LQJ", and "IMX238LQJ" for high picture quality at the low illumination, greatly exceeding the existing products. Newly developed process and pixel technologies pushed up the sensitivity in the near infrared light region, up to 2 times compared with the existing products "IMX122LQJ"*1, "IMX136LQJ"*2, and "IMX138LQJ".
For Day/Night cameras, which are also strongly demanded in recent years, better visibility improves surveillance performance, and fewer number of LED parts reduce the power consumption and cost.
